Virginians are witnessing the effects of climate change in real time.

From California wildfires to flooding in North Dakota, the effects of the climate crisis have become increasingly apparent across the US. With both intense heat waves and flooding in recent years, Virginia has started to see some of the more drastic impacts of climate change first-hand. 

One recent example? An educational program on the state’s shoreline was forced to shut down after the island it was held on sunk underwater due to rising sea levels. Read more about it here.
