Biden said his new $700 billion plan would rebuild the American economy, spur innovation, and create as many as five million new jobs in the United States.
“The vice president believes it’s not the time to just build it back the way things were before ... it’s time to imagine and build a new American economy for the next generation.”
In a speech in Wilmington, Delaware, on Tuesday, the former vice president said Trump is “in retreat” as more than 126,000 Americans have died from the virus.
“Amazingly, he still hasn’t grasped the most basic fact of this crisis: To fix the economy we have to get control over the virus."
There’s reason to believe Trump’s numbers on the economy may dip, however.
A group of Republican former U.S. national security officials plan to publicly endorse Biden in the coming weeks, Reuters reported Wednesday.
During a stop in Darby, Joe Biden called on the president to "wake up" and take action.
