COURIER Announces Key Leadership Changes
Kevin Dreyfuss will oversee COURIER’s national newsroom, in collaboration with COURIER’s network of state-level newsrooms while Camaron Stevenson has been promoted to COURIER’s first National Correspondent in DC.
WASHINGTON, DC — COURIER, the fastest-growing progressive news network in the United States, is excited to announce two key senior staff appointments that will strengthen its national coverage and operational leadership.
Joining COURIER as Managing Director of COURIER National is Kevin Dreyfuss, who will oversee the national newsroom and collaborate with COURIER’s network of state-level newsrooms. Kevin brings a wealth of experience at the intersection of media, politics, and innovation. Kevin is a multiple Emmy, Webby, and Clio Award-winning media executive, who led content strategy and business transformation at AMC Networks for iconic franchises including The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Mad Men. Most recently, he built and managed video creative and operations for the Biden for President and Harris for President campaigns.
“Kevin’s exceptional track record in cultural and entertainment media, combined with his demonstrated commitment to leveraging his talents to advance progress and protect democracy make him uniquely qualified to guide COURIER’s strategy to expand our national brand and suite of political and cultural media products and talent,” said Tara McGowan, Founder and Publisher of COURIER. “His leadership will help us expand our reach, innovate across platforms, and deliver impactful journalism that empowers Americans to stay informed and engaged on the events that impact their communities.”
Camaron Stevenson has been promoted to National Correspondent in Washington, D.C., where he will report on critical national issues and their local impacts. Camaron previously served as the Founding Editor and Chief Political Correspondent for The Copper Courier, COURIER’s Arizona-based news outlet that was founded in 2019. With over a decade of journalistic experience in Phoenix, Camaron has earned a reputation for delivering insightful community-centered reporting. For his work, Camaron was awarded Best TikTok 2023 by the Phoenix New Times. In addition to his work at COURIER, he teaches multimedia journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
“Camaron’s deep understanding of local issues and his ability to connect them to the national conversation make him the ideal leader of our flagship D.C. newsroom and reporting,” said McGowan. “His reporting will ensure our audiences across the country stay informed about how decisions made in Washington directly affect their communities.”
These strategic appointments reflect COURIER’s ongoing commitment to delivering fact-based, community-centered journalism that holds power to account and ensures audiences across the country are equipped with the information they need to participate fully in our democracy.
